Reduce search area
Reduce search area to number of blocks or fractions of a mile. In Manhattan or other cities a mile is a great distance. Would work better for restaurants, local events, etc.

I tried to make a fit for the average location. Soon you’ll be able to change your radius in the preferences

Install RSS
With an RSS feed you could save search by topics or interest and set your feed to refresh in real time

Pls go back to showing older tweets, not only tweets from the past few hours!
I loved NT because you showed older tweets (like from the past week or so), but now I can only see new tweets from the past few hours. Help! Please fix!

fix the bugs. I took out the default location and couldn't get it back on. It's frustrating.
I just joined yesterday - thanks to the Dummies book. The site looks great and very helpful but it does not have user-friendly instructions on what a new user should do. As a newbee, I tinkered with the preference and unchecked this, clicked here and there, and when I got back to the home page I couldn't get results anymore from nearby tweets. Is it a bug problem in my location? Is it programming bug? It's frustrating and I want to use it for my business. You're site is very helpful and it should help more people and I'll recommend… more

Provide the ability to reply to tweets
Would be great to reply to tweets, especially if I want an instant reponse based on an event or someone's current location. Or if I'm at an event and I want to monitor and help control the conversation.

a STOP (or pause) button
Its frustrating when I'm trying to hover over a particular tweet of interest and it keeps pushing it down for new hits.

Distance setting V2
Seem to have lost the distance setting from V1 - for me this is key as prefer to search for tweeps 10-20 miles from my location (especially when promoting @FridayDrinks)

Time stamp
When visiting a location for the first time, you get what seem to be old tweets, but there's no indication of how old they are. A time stamp would be nice.

Not a bad idea… perhaps auto translation?
